FRIDAY
ARRIVE
You can check-in to your luxurious WestGate rental at 3 p.m. (or earlier for an additional fee). After parking in our private garage, head into the lobby to receive a friendly greeting from our on-site staff and your all-access WestGate wristband.
EVENING/DINNER
After getting settled, head to The Government Plaza. This five-acre park is the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs and enjoy some live local music at the free Summer Concert Series. Grab dinner from one of several food trucks parked nearby.
SATURDAY
BREAKFAST
As the oldest restaurant in Tuscaloosa, The Waysider has had plenty of time to perfect the best breakfast in town. Stop in for favorites just like grandma used to make – biscuits with redeye gravy, tall stacks of hot cakes, or a thick slice of sugar-cured country ham.
MORNING
Burn off your breakfast with a morning stroll down The Riverwalk. This popular path winds along the Black Warrior River, offering waterfront and plenty of fun ways to play. Be sure to stop in at the Tuscaloosa River Market to support local farmers as you wander through booths full of fresh produce, original crafts, and local goods.
LUNCH
Journey just across the river to visit the original Dreamland BBQ, where you’ll revel in a thick slab of pork spareribs. They’re grilled over a hickory-wood pit and smothered in their signature sauce, guaranteeing a plate of pork perfection.
AFTERNOON
After lunch, head back to the heart of Tuscaloosa to spend some time immersed in football. You can visit the Paul W. Bryant museum, explore the campus, and even schedule a tour of the Stadium, all within walking distance of your WestGate condo.
DINNER
All of that winning is sure to make you hungry, so head to The Avenue Pub to chow down on the #1 burger in the state. Polish off your patty with a local craft beer or custom cocktail before strolling The Strip for prime shopping and nighttime activities.

Begin your last day the right way with a delicious breakfast at Rama Jama’s just steps from your luxury WestGate condo. This iconic diner serves breakfast all day, giving you plenty of time to feast on hearty favorites like eggs, ham, grits, hashbrowns, and more. While you eat, peruse walls full of authentic Alabama memorabilia and finish up by taking a photo with the famous rooftop “A”.
CHECK-OUT Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. At noon, enjoy an easy check-out process to wrap up your WestGate stay. Of course, it’s not all bad news – now you can begin planning the next trip to Tuscaloosa!
